Hi.

I have an EGF-1800 made in 1981(I believe it's 1800).
According to Greco's catalog, it's lacquer finish and the fretboard is made of brazilian rosewood.

but it looks like poly finish and rosewood fretboard....

I wonder if it's actually lacquer and brazilian rosewood as described on the catalog, or it's a different model?

see the photos and tell me what you think.

I'm gonna sell this guitar soon. so I need to clear it. thanks.

Looks like an EGF-1800 from the pictures. The nitro can be pretty thick. If you can get some acetone or nail polish remover and put a drop in the pickup cavity you will see if it gets soft or not.

I have read that in 1981 they ran out of brazilian for fretboards so it may well be Indian rosewood instead. It has lots of pores in the grain which is supposedly not what Brazilian looks like. My recommendation is find a luthier you can trust and ask their opinion.

Put it up for sale here, I am sure you can get a great price for it.
