Hi all,

I have an LS150F VF (UK dimple headstock) made in 2010 and the original frets are all worn put so it's time for a reffret.

Does my guitar has #213 size frets and if so, what is their dimension since I could't find it anywhere.

I think I'll reffret it with bigger Jescar stainless steel frets but I want to know the size of the original frets so I don't order something too big. I want bigger frets but not to big.

Thank you

I did my search and read the topics you listed but none of them had info how big are #213 frets.

I read that GIbson Historics use Jescar 45100, and by the look of them I think the frets on my Tokai are maybe the same width, but definetly not that high.

The size is 0.1 x 0.04 ,close to vintage ones- They outsourced from a japanese company as they do with nitro laquer, hardware,etc... I have seen Jescar on high end Tokais on very recent models also.

I love the frets Tokai is using for Love Rocks, they are very comfortable and easy to play.

Unfortunately that diagram is in mm, and many fret sizes are quoted in inches - hard to easily compare.
Isn't it best to go slightly larger when you do a re-fret anyway?

Here's one opinion on fret stuff:

The Jescar EVO type wire sounds like a good option over SS. This guy claims SS doesn't seem to last much longer than nickel, and EVO is close enough to not bother with SS.
