Hi guys,

I'm a proud owner of a Tokai LS 150F VF and it is great Les Paul. Much better than the Gibson Traditional I recently had a chance to try, but you already knew that. :D

Now,

I'm trying to do my first set up of it but have some questions. It's not my first set up of a guitar. I've done it before on a bolt on neck guitar.

Firstly, I've measured the neck at the 1st and 12th fret and it reads 22,6 mm (0.889 in) and 25 mm (0,984 in).

So, how do you do your set up? Is there the definitive one?

I've searched all over the internet for the right way and got couple of ways of doing it regarding neck relief (all the way from 0.004 to 0.012), where should I fret when measuring (1st and 15th, 17th, 22nd and after the 22nd fret), where I should measure the relief (6th to 9th fret), where to measure string height (5/64E and 3/64e at 12th or 15th fret) and so on.

I want to achieve low action without the string buzz. I play 10-46 gauge strings.

Thank you all.

Seconded.

The old and new testaments of the electric guitar tinkerer.
