If I order 20 books I get a 10% discount but have to pay combined postage of ?115 which is ?5.75 each postage to me and approx ?2.50 for recorded delivery to your home. So thats ?23.75 for the book plus postage = a total of ?32. Compare that to ?26.39 plus ?3.99 guaranteed tracked delivery by DHL or use the free postage offer. It also takes the double handling, repackaging and if it goes missing from Blurb to DHL then they have to replace it. Recorded delivery would pay compensation to a level but have you tried getting cash out of Royal Mail?

Is that fair enough? the Blurb ordering system is pretty easy.

Just waiting for one set of photos that shold have been with me on Friday last week and will do final proof and publish this Friday. It's looking good if I say so myself.

Iain

Got the final set last night and have produced a draft for that page. Probably only one more spread to complete and then I will proof read and publish on Friday.

I will be posting on this forum and emailing contributors where I have private email addresses. i will also be putting the order link onto the almost Tokai. Can anyone suggest other forums that may be interested in hearing about the book? I think MIJGAS is dead now.

Roll on Friday!

The japanaxe forum might have a few interested members, and music radar too, you never know. It's not a specialist japanese guitar forum, but they have a huge membership.

Update: OK, the book has been proofed and completed. I cannot upload it to the publish website from work due to firewall restirctions so I will be doing this tonight when I get home.

Once uploaded I will post on this site with details of the link and order instructions. You will have until the end of March to benefit from the free ground / economy postage offer that I will detail again. An alternative is to go with the flat rate tracked postage deal of ?3.99 (or equivalent in local currency) for up to 3 books. If you want more than 3 books you can get a postage calculator on the blurb site to tell you how much it will be to decide if you want to reconsider the free ground postage. For example 7 books delivered to a UK address is ?7.36. If you are really keen you can order 10 copies and get a 10% discount

Sorry to keep you waiting but it will be worth the wait!

No thank you iain for the idea & perseverance to see it through & a big thank you to all involved . free beer for you at the next convention methinks. 8)

Ok, the moment you have been waiting for, the book is now published! I have ordered my copies and used the discount code GROUND1 and got ?3.99 delivery for free. Here is the link to order your book(s) and on the final check out page you put the discount code in and recalculate. The code is only valid until the end of the month (see below). Certain country ground postage allows you to track your delivery via DHL.

I have set the paper as premium quality with lustre finish and I decided to add 50p to each book sale for me to donate as charity in aid of the Japanese tsunami victims. I will post here the total sales (I will screen shot the stats from my book page) and post a receipt for the charity payment. I hope everyone will be happy with that considering our link with Japan via the guitars and people we have met on this forum.

The book will cost ?26.89. You can get a soft cover version for ?20 and I think you can get a hard cover image wrap which wraps the cover image as a hard cover but you would lose the inner flaps. Not sure but that would be ?28. Let me know any problems via the forum and I look forward to all your thoughts one you receive the book.

Cheers,

Iain
