To add to my collection of guitars I have an option to buy a Fender Mex Strat for Euro200 ($260). Its only 3 Months old and the owner is emmigrating(immigrating??) and so selling the Guitar. I have to go see it today but providing its in top condition do you reckon I should go for it. I am not a Fender Strat fan really but I have an ES 100 and a Patrick Eggle so the Fender would be a different sound to play with. Are the Mex strats complete crap?

You really have to try for yourself and see. I played one in a music store a number of years ago that left a bit to be desired. I don't think they bothered to cut the nut very well - I bent the G string a full step and it popped right out. :)
