Hey guys/girls,

I've recently purchased a Tokai Hardpuncher. It's a stunning bass. The best one I've ever had. :D I would like to know when is was manufactured. The digitcode has seven digits (1019512). Unfortunately the decal is replaced by a Fender P-logo and the neck is sanded so I can't see whether it's a PB-40 of 60. As you can see it had a refin, but I like the colour. It's now an exact copy of a Fender '64 Precision.
Can anybody give me some information?

Here are some pictures:

Thanks for your help!

Cheers!

Thanks for your reply, I apprecied it :D .
Since your a guitar god  , can you estimade the year of manufacturing? Considering the digitcode I think it's from 1981.

And do you know where I can get a decal, because I want it to look as original as possible?

Cheers from Holland

Hard to make an accurate dating.
Especially when the original logo is gone.

But early 80's isn't a long shot.
What is the serial number?

The serial number is 1019512.
My guess is that it's a PB40 from 1981.

I'm trying to get an original logo, but it's hard to get one.

Thanks for your help!

Cheers!
