was thinking about taking the covers off my paf mk2 LS 135. what color are the bobbins usually on the mk2's?

couldn't tell you what bobbin color(s) to expect but if you are taking the covers off, then there is no need to guess; you will know when you have the covers off.
If however you don't want to take the covers off you could,
(1) remove one of the adjustable screw poles (be sure to remove any wax as the wax typically looks white & you could end up thinking you have a white bobbin when it may just be wax you are viewing)
(2) remove one of the bobbin screws on the base, for the slug bobbin
(3) if the lead wire hole diameter is big enough you could determine the color of at least one bobbin by looking into the hole in the base where the lead wire transits the base
good luck
