Gibson Historic does not impress!
Made a blindtest recently with a historic and a Greco EGF1200.
Everyone who participated said the Greco was better in every aspect.
Especially the tone in the wood and the pickups.
Building quality seems to be better on the old Japanese as well (IMO).
not that the Historic are bad guitars but I think they don't deliver in parity with the price.
I gave a Greco goldtop to a man after I helped him sell his original 58 LP goldtop and he said that the feeling and sound was perfect in the Greco (mint Collection) and matched the 58 well. I trust a man who played the same guitar for 50 years Only difference is a 100,000$
