I'm just reading Alex James' (of Blur) autobiography and it seems one of his early basses was a Tokai Jazz Sound which he used recording their first single "She's so High". Mind you, on page 51 he says it was crap!

Actually I think Blur were quite brilliant although they lost their way towards the end.
I find it much harder to understand why so many people like Oasis.
And before you all flame me, I love Freddie King too, ok?

People like Oasis because they get to hear all their favourite 1960's Beatles and Stones riffs in one convenient easy-to-digest package.

I saw them at Knebworth and they were actually pretty entertaining, but I still think Liam Gallagher is a Class A, full-on, weapons-grade Wanker. And his brother can't play for toffee either.

How much more mileage will Noel manage to squeeze out of his one and only riff? (Bend up - hit the string above - release bend).

And he looks too much like "Parker" out of Thunderbirds for my liking.
