Your honesty is most refreshing, specially after my recent experience. I'm sure that forum members will be happy to trade with you in the future. Thanks for an interesting thread.

OMG! Drugs? Strippers? In Texas? I'm shocked.... I thought you guys just sat on your back porches and played blues?

Suddenly I feel rather naive

First, I searched for my records of who and when I bought this guitar from, and as of now I am unable to find them. I do know this, I bought this guitar from either Hisashi, Bluesyguitars, japanoldguitars, or possibly MIJguitars, as I have bought several from those sellers, and the only Tokais that I have bought from other sellers have been single purchases, and I remember those. I really believe it was Hisashi. It was sold to me as a model 100. Koizumi wrote to my auction an told me it is not a 100. And now I see the experts here agree.

I do not know this guitar.
I have not sold ST-100 in the past.

Thanks.

Hi all,

First of all, I wanted everyone to know that I found the shipping box I got the guitar in. I bought this guitar from Katana Guitars.

Sorry it took me so long to figure out.

Also of interest, I told everyone I was pulling the auction. Well, I had never done this before, and didn't realize that you can't end it with less than 12 hours left. But I did talk to the buyer and explain everything to him. He was a very nice person and has agreed not to complete the transaction.

Which brings me to my next point. I am going to hang on to the guitar. I don't know what I was thinking. It is the only 3 tone and most unique one I have. And after all the fun we have had on here with it, I have grown a deeper connection with it. (I can't believe I said that last part.) What the hell, I know most of you are the same way about these things, Freaks! :D

And now this brings this episode of dialing for Goldies to a close.

Kind regards,
Richard

P.S. Thank you guys for the kind comments. I really do appreciate your kindness. And yes, this must be the best forum in the world.

Richard,

I haven't taken part in this discussion, but must confess that I'm very happy about your feedback to the forum in general and to the guys particularly who had been involved ...
The way of discussing something also depends on the people who are in - so your honesty and your attitude here have made that you also have a big stake in this result ... enjoy being here !!!

I'd say: trust your dealer. Here is an ST100 (not Goldstar, sorry) I got from Gottfried.

I have started a new thread on blacklights:

http://www.tokaiforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=9474

for those of us who want to check if our guitars are poly or nitro, without having to dissolve the finish to do so. :o
