Holiday bills coming due, taxes around the corner, to name a few possible reasons......

Starting bid is $1500, that's "Gibson" Standard territory. I imagine potential buyers realize that and figure "why spend that on a replica/clone when I can get the real deal?"

Now, ignorance is a worldwide phenomenon.
This lady is not "Gibson" Standard territory, she plays in the Historic/Reissue league, instead.

I guess it's partly because of the high starting price. The guitar may well be worth that, but I'm always put off by high start prices... they always seem presumptuous and like a Buy-it-Now price in disguise.

.....because I knocked ?50 off mine in order to sell it. The prices therefore wouldn't be really that much different if I was sticking to my guns. I'd be making a loss on what I paid for it, but i consider that "rental", and don't lose any sleep over it.
