Please can someone confirm this is legit. Ash body, with single ply scratchplate but a rosewood neck with a skunk stripe and headstock truss rod access? The neck doesn't sound like a 60's copy and I thought the springys were supposed to be spot on. My springy and goldstar have butt end truss rod access and no skunk stripe..

Doesn't look like neck access to me - my '54 RI Strat has a walnut (or whatever wood the skunk stripe is) plug at the top of the headstock where the truss rod nut would be on a more modern style neck, and it looks just like that.

Don't know anything else about it, though

What Rustyslide said.

These are quite common for 1980 Springys - thin "veneer" rosewood fingerboard on maple neck (copies of obscure transition Fender models?), with walnut skunk-stripe & plug at headstock.

My favorite ever Springy is the same : -
