The same seller is now claiming that the 83 catalogue states that E pickups are Di Marzios. He also claims that the catalogue states that the ST62 has a one piece body ( more nonsense) I informed him politely 6 months ago with regards to another guitar he was selling about our research on this forum and that Es were not made by Di M ,he more or less told me then that he would write anything he chose to about his guitars. .He`s certainly doing that alright!
SELLERS LIKE THIS MAKE SO ANGRY Gabe. :x

Perhaps he's also a used car salesman - he's got 100% positive feedback

Hi guys,

The pickups Tokai used on these USA models were C.A.R.'s which stood for California Accurate Reproduction.
The AST-62 and AST-56 started life in 1982 and progressed from there.
I agree with you guys that he is certainly taking license with his claims.
I , for one , am not convinced the AST-62 body is ash, more likely alder.

regards
Peter Mac
