Nobody's jumping on it.A shame in those days that a lot of people have to let their beloved rarities go due to this worldwide financial disaster but as a result of this situation we all have to keep our money together.I would really like this 79 but no way...

Yeah, you're right about that .... it's a great time to buy if you have the means and it's a lousy time to sell. I've sold a few guitars on ebay over the last couple of months and lost my *** on them (started with a $0 opening bid or reserve - took a chance).

But faced with a newly unemployed wife with no unemployment benefits, gotta do what I've gotta do. I can't justify having a shed full of guitars and amps when we need the money. Glad at least that I have source of additional income for awhile. Might sell my motorcycle first before I get into the guitars I don't want to part with.

Thanks guys.... it'll be alright. Things happen for a reason. Didn't mean to cry in my beer......

Or in your case...cry on your rug

Hi Guys,

Yes, this is my guitar and it is an extremely nice one, better looking than on the pictures and just oozes the true vintage vibe and if you already own one of those, you know what I mean.

Not selling her for below market value, and she has already stood a few high end Gibbies up in a live gig situation (the Tokai sounded warmer and stayed in tune the whole gig, not the VOS or Custom Shop Gibbies and that says something).

I will wait for better times and in the mean time I will continue to enjoy the company of my vintage lady!

Marcus, sorry to hear about your wife, hope she will find something new soon.

Cheers,

Joop

Now sold to a forum member!!

Going to feel naked here.. member without guitar (

Regards,

Joop

Vintage tone requires time, not technology...

Atta boy Joop.... at least you know she's going to a good home.

Hi Marcus,

You're right and that is always a nice thought.. Woman get sentimental about shoes, we about guitars.... (Do you think that there is a shoe forum out there somewhere???

Let's wait & see what our fellow memeber thinks of her once he gets to play with her.... He already has 3 execellent guitars (1980's Greco 1200, ObG and LS150 Love Rock) so she'll have her work cut out for her...

Now I just have to find a good home for my prestine ObG ES335: http://s791.photobucket.com/albums/yy197/Oomsammiesewinkel/1995%20Fujigen%20Orville%20by%20Gibson%20ES335/

Greetings,

Joop

I have the same ObG and it is really a nice guitar. It is too bad Fujigen didn't make more of these as mine is one of the nicest playing and sounding guitars I have.

Good luck with the sale!

Hi Wulfman, you're absolutely right, spread the word! And mine is in such a nice, collectors condition...

And Timo, no I haven't sold all my guitars (2 still left) but I maybe forced to do so. Anyway, this is the Tokai forum and without a Tokai guitar it will feel like only window shopping... At least I have had the pleasure to own a real vintage one, and no one can take that away..
