I checked with the seller, & there are no stamps on the body but the seller tells me:

I know what is a Tokai and what is not, I took this body from a complete Tokai Strat and still have the other parts

What does the forum think about this one?

I tend to agree. The seller seems to take the view that his word should be good enough.

Exactly what I thought Dave. It doesn't look much like your Metallic Blue one either!
 
That item could possibly be from an early 2000 model if it really is Tokai, although I've never seen a Tokai metallic blue quite that bright :eek:

Stripping the original guitar of it's neck and everything else leaves an unidentifiable lump of wood with a provenance that amounts to an anecdote about what somebody who thinks he knows what a Tokai is wrote on ebay.
 
Ask him to send a pic of the neck and serial#...from the sounds of it he'll tell you to go jump though :roll:
