Friend of mine wants to buy this guitar, seller is located in different country, quite far from him. Before he goes there he wants to be shure what he's buying. Here are couple of pictures, seller claims it's Greco EGC800. I'm not a Greco expert ;) What do you think this is, which model? Is it EGC800? What is approx value for such guitar? Guitar has original hard case.
Thank you

As far as I know an 80 should have waffleback tuners.
Also this looks like a 3P top, so to me this is a EGC68-50.
Let him check the pickups; screamin' = 50, double trick = 80

thank you Jacco, very helpfull. I'll try to get info about pickups. What price range are those guitars?

Agreed with Jacco.
If the board is ebony and the inlays are real shell then it should be an 80.
I haven't seen too many 1984s with the Super Real truss rod covers. It is possible they stopped using wafflebacks at some point.

They sell for around 40,000 yen in Japan in good condition.

I was going to say the super real truss rod cover on an 84 seems weird. My late 81 flower pot has one but technically that is a super real.
