I found this morning a nice story in a german forum : Some guy received a Super Real long ago from a japanese student friend and now gave this guitar to another buddy. This one has no idea what it is but it is a lefty with FEB and Dry Zs ! The pic is a shame but I am waiting for more information.Looks like a 850 or 1000 to me with changed tuners and Pus ?

I don't know... The yellow binding, plaintop, and burst color make me think a '82ish Mint Collection with a leftover SR neck.

Cool looking guitar though...

mmmh, the binding on my 1200 has turned to yellow as well.
The japanese student might have been a heavy cigar smoker...
No idea, the guitar went for a setup to a luthier. So we have to wait for more info.

Looks a lot like a transition model from 82.
The binding is yellow, celluloid plastic inlays, more correct body shape and a changed bellplate.

I once had a 1981 SR EGF850 Lefty...Cool piece.

I'm with you guys on a MC model because of the body shape, inlays & finish color. EG59-70?
