Hmm....odd bird that one is. Never seen one like that.

Doing the math, that one is selling for about $328.......about half of what the "Limited" models I've seen. New low end model?

I couldn't translate the page.....what are the specs on the guitar (p'ups, etc)?

Hi,

this can be one of the "Artist Series" ...

... got some pics from the "Aloha Ken" model ... go to "enlarged photo 4" to get a closeup sight ...

BTW - Marcus, you'll find the specs in the description or go to the Edwards site and scroll to the "Artist Series" ...

i've seen the aloha model before, but never this one, at first i thought the headstock may have been re-shaped, it looks like it has no binding on the body but it is hard to tell with these pics

Scooba,

Thanks Roger,

I have see that site before, but i still havn't found anything similar to the one in the original link.

maybe a 1 off?

or a shop order. or maybe a very early one they made with the Eclipse headstock before deciding on the LP style...who know, ESP has been making Edwards for quite a few years. Might be an Edwards version of an ESP artist model...they did that before...made the ESP, Edwards and Grassroots versions of the same model in a variety of prices to try to satisfy everybody from the beginner to the pro. The Duncan line only started a few short years ago, before that they generally came with ESP p`ups. One thing I`ve learned about MIJ guitars...anything is possible.

I think this is the export version made for the non japanese market. These were imported and sold by some shops in Sweden a couple of years ago. When I first heard of Edwards it was in a review in a Swedish guitar mag when they just started importing them and they had this kind of headstock. Didn't last long before they had to stop selling them, to similar to the original even with that head.....
