I acquired a Maya J200 acoustic last year and absolutely love it to pieces. I'm feeling very happy with myself for finding a Maya F335 guitar via Ebay in France for a decidedly cheap price (ie. less than you'd pay in Argos for a Spanish guitar!). I'd love to know more about these guitars but the main info I can find apart from Harmony Central is one random post on Guitarsite.com (popups, beware!)

Does anyone know anythign about these guitars? I really do love my J200, I'd love to know more about its history, how they fit into the whole timeline of Japanese-made guitars.

I am a big participant on the Ibanez Collector's World site and did a deal buying a blonde Ibanez Byrdland copy from one of the members. The guy's an incredible player and collector. Later he listed a Maya Byrdland on the site before listing it on eBay. It was a dead wringer for the Ibanez copy I already had. Me thinks they are made in the same factory as Ibanez was (at the time of manufacture).

Hi Mike,

I@m a member of the Collectors World too, I tried one search but only for 300 days length! I found one topic here:

Seems like my feelings over the instruments are right, that Maya guitars are well made.
