Greco serial number dating

With "Greco", the information of production year and serial number stamped started from around 75.
Because serial numbers did not exist before, the production year is identified by the logo font and the parts.

System 1: 1975 - 1994, alphanumeric "7 digits".

 EX - 1) "K773422" means:
 K = production month ( A =January, B = February... K = November, L = December)
 77 (next 2 digits) = production year (77 = 1977, 79 = 1979)
 3422 (last 4 digits) production sequence.

System 2: Like below it consists "5 digits" inspired by Gibson S/N type from 1980. Relates to the "super real series" and after that to the"mint collection series".

 EX - 2) "04236" means:
 The first digit = production year (0 = 1980 or 1990, 2 = 1982 or1992)
 4236 (last 4 digits) production sequence.

System 3: After 95, similar to system 1

Here it is any idea on the year or any other details?

my old Greco strats have the year of manufacture in the serial number on the neck plate.

I often see some Greco Firebird from the mint collection ( the model with dot neck) without serial numers. But some others have one. Most of the time, it's late models which have a serial so I figured out it could be the models from before 1985 that comes out without serial... As I saw on another thread that the model between 81 and 85 were limited edition. Anybody have an idea or a clue?

That's the same as the old Ibanez system, which was superseded around '88/'89 when the Korean (C - Cort) & Japanese (F - Fuji-Gen) factories came online.

FWIW...

Thanks for that. Will it originaly have been white, or is it meant to look like its aged to a creamy white?

Cheers :D
