I have a nice 1998 Yamaha SG 1000. It has been refretted and unfortunately the pots have been changed. It probably had two 500K Volume pots originally and two push/push tone pots, probably 300K. It has the original pickups and a dead straight neck, ebony fingerboard and weights 4300 grams.

I would like to make it as close to original as possible. Does anyone know if it is possible to get the push/push pots somewhere?

Cheers

I have read somewhere you can order the pots from Yamaha thru a dealer.
They are the same as SG 2000 and SA 2200.

EDIT: Not sure if it can help

Thanks mate. I think Yamaha discontinued the push/push pots used in the "old" SG1000 and SG2000. I have been trying in vain to find out what they use in the new/reissue SG1000/2000 guitars.

On some forums it is said that the pots are made by Noble.

..."I did some deep internet digging and found the possible part number for the pots used in the vintage Yamaha SBG2000's: Noble J3-05A 300K"...
Although you have the reference, it seems that you have to order from a parts dealer and not from Noble itself.

Noble Pots are also mentionned in the description of the new SG 1820.

Scroll all the way down to electronics.
