Can anyone tell me the significance of the Oval sticker at the heel of the neck on a 1984 Tokai Strat? The sticker in question reads "36" - is this the same as on older Springy Sounds where it represents the original list price? In which case "36" would be a relatively low-end model? The guitar in question is a twin humbucker "fat strat" type model with colour-matched headstock and neck and titled "Tokai Limited Edition", similar to this one: http://www.tokaiforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=9385 .

PS, I don't own it (yet) so I can't post pics.

many thanks
Andrew

You've got it right! 36 would indicate an original selling price of 36000 Yen. As you say, not a high-end model but that doesn't mean it's not a great guitar!
