I noticed some discussion, a while back, about the narrow neck plate sightings, and the general question of whether this was a feature of the earliest Springy Sound strats. I stumbled on to this website and, at least for the moment (as it indicates "sold") there is a beautiful example towards the bottom of the page:

Like everyone else, I'm just looking for confirmation that these features are consistent with the earliest SS strats, and wondering if anyone else out there has photos they can share of similar, early models.
Oh, by the way, I'm told the S/N on the above guitar is stamped on the neck heel, and that it begins 800xxx.
There's another beauty listed there too, a 1980 SS with gold plating!
