hi guys,

i am new to this forum and please bear with me if any of my questions seems silly.

i came across a tokai silverstar off a japanese website that i am pretty interested in. since i can't find much information on it, i guess this is the best place to ask. this is the silverstar in question.

can anyone tell me more on this silverstar? some of the things i would love to know,

- body wood (looks like alder)
- 3 or 4 bolt neck joint
- how does it compare to the rest of tokai's strat series such as springy sound, goldstar sound etc.
- how does it compare to greco and fernandes of the same era of make
- is it advisable to get it

cheers!
dani

The silverstars are copies of the post CBS Strat's of the '70's

They were made for the Japanese market only.

As with all Tokai, they will be a very god replica and sound good.

The build quality and finish will be to a high standard.

It's a matter of personal preference, as with all guitars about the tone and feel of them.

The neck profile may differ in feel from the goldstars and springy's

Yes,neck profile is different than AST-56 I got,but more comfortable.I feel SS-38 neck as one of the best necks I've ever had.I'm talking about all maple neck both.
