Help me date my Goldstar Sound!

Hello there! It's my first post here. recently I got old Tokai strat copy, and I cant get idea about the year of production and specs, especiall body wood (ash or alder), any help would be appreciated greatly!

Per the chart here (http://www.tokairegistry.com/tokai-info ... ender.html) its a 1984 model. 1984 was the only year for the Fender headstock with the Goldstar name (at least in the US).

Are this guitars supposed to be good Strat replicas? I personaly liked the guitar tone and feel.

Yeah, they?re very good, often better than US Fender, though that?s probably a matter of personal opinion. The body wood is probably Alder ? it won?t be US Ash, but could be the Japanese species called Sen. :-?
