Hi there! First post for me.
Picked up a worn LS50, I believe it is a 1980 model judging by the serial number 0007xxx.
The head stock doesn't have a model decal any longer, do these peel off??? So I'm not 100% sure exactly what model it is - assuming either reborn old or love rock.
Any help would be appreciated.
Also, I bought it for $300aud, it had no electronics, and has gotoh bridge etc.
I installed a Seymour Duncan JB bridge pickup, Dimarzio neck, and Dimarzio pots. Also installed a new bone nut.

Was that a fair price?

It plays AMAZINGLY well. The neck is incredibly straight, goes to show how well these guitars were made.

Well, you nailed it as a 1980 LS50.

The script can literally just wear off, so i wouldn't worry too much about that.

I think you did well for $300. People almost always swapped out the electronics in these and quite often the pups anyway.

Congrats

That's great, thanks! So would that make it a Reborn old? Or a love rock? :-?
I'm very happy with it :D

If you look at the headstock from the side at a low angle, you may be able to see traces of the old designation, reborn or love rock.
Whatever it is, it's a bargain.

Thanks mate, I've tried my hardest in all light and all angles- no sign of anything any longer sadly..
I've come across sites where I can get decals - reborn old / love rock etc, should I bother? Or just leave it alone..
I wouldn't mind seeing reborn old on there haha, just don't want to be wanky haha
