SS-60 should have:

- Long sustain bridge with brass saddles

- These tuners

- Pickups would be SS Super, not sure if they had a stamp on them. SS Hot had an H stamped on them.

- Original pickguard would be white on an SS-60

The neck plate looks like a generic 'made in Japan' plate which was used on many makes of guitar in the '80s, i.e. Hondo.
Whatever it is, it could be good.
It could've been made in the Tokai factory, but doesn't look like a Tokai.

Hm. Going by the catalogs, the SS60 was a 1966 copy (four neck screws, neck heel truss rod adjustment, "Silver Star" in small caps on the headstock) only in 1982. If this is one, it should have a six-digit serial on the neckplate, though. The current plate looks like Fujigen to me, I doubt it belongs on this guitar. Any pics of the headstock?
