june 84 is my guess TST50, some time in 85 the headstock shape changed, in 84 if it was for the USA

Tst-50 with ceramics?

I'm in Denmark. Not sure we have many US-models around.
 
The guy i bought it from, said he didn't change anything.
Maybe the first owner did.
 
a full strip down and deep clean would have that almost like new, it would be just lovely.
 
I guess i just have to get started.
Never thought i'd end up liking a chunky neck with vintage frets 😊
 
They are very comfy. It won't take long to strip, clean and refit with a setup to your liking. I just did that to an Ibanez rs1300 for a work colleague, he couldn't belive the difference in appearance and playability, plus it sounded so much nicer too! I also repaired his Marshall 50w combo at the same time.

Hi guys,

I'm going with TST-40, 1985 with Springy logo. Original owner probably scrapped the Goldstar logo.
The body code is not pre-85, period.
Pickups looked swapped out to me IMO.
Everything else looks pretty nice. Change the pups and play up a storm.

Sir help me i have a tokai but it doesnt have a recesses and markings on the body . It has a pencil st markings on the neck pocket and stamp serial number . It has a narrow neck plate sir with A black pickups

Some say the body is not tokai
 
Pots date to April 1984...

If original, this changes when we believe the - symbol starts in the production code.

More likely a Partscaster.

Don’t see a code for the neck either…
