Hi

Does anybody know where to get a replacement scratchplate suitable for a st55 without drilling extra holes??

I want to experiment with some different pickups and I don't want to change the original scratchplate wiring etc as it's completely original.

I find the bridge pickup V1 (or is it VI)is a bit too much like throwing glass against a glass wall sound wise. My other tokai has U's and I prefer their sound.

If I get a new scratchplate I can dead easy turn her back to complete originality if I desire at a later date.

I don't want to buy a square blank as I have had enough experience of carving strat scratchplates to fit burns trisonics and kent armstrong cool rails to last me a lifetime.

Cheers
Ian

I replaced the white scratchplate on my ST55 with a generic 8-screw black one bought from one of the guitar shops off Charing Cross Road (sorry, can't remember which one). No redrilling necessary.
