Hi all,

Have a question about breezysound neck profiles:

How does a rosewood fretboard profile compare to a maple fretboard profile?
Assuming that it are copies of different fender models.
(the maple board one has L+5 digits, the rosewood board one has 5 digits number on plate.)

Is the rosewood board one just as thick as the maple one or is it a -much-softer C-shape?

Just wondering because i'm very comfortable with my maple neck breezy and i'm thinking about getting a rosewood one from the same year.

regards, Bart

Traditionally, I believe the roseboard models are more like 60's Fender profile necks.... which are generally smaller profiled than their 50's maple counterparts

Thank you for confirming my suspicion...
Seems like the most logical asumption

Any people with hands on experience?

thanks,

Bart

I have had both.... still have the maple board. The maple board neck is fuller than the rosewood..... as I mentioned, it doesn't have to do with the year of manufacture, it has to do with the Fender era guitar it was modeled after.

With Goldstars the maple necks are fatter than the RW board ones. I assume the same with Breezys, though I've never had a maple neck Breezy to compare.
