Hi all!!
Please let us all see your sycamore laminated tops
I know there is a lot of people out there loving the looks of theese tops
LS-F's & Q's

As for beginners at this forum, DON'T be scared af a laminated top, as the laminate is only 1-2 mm thick, underneath is a healthy chunk of MAPLE.
I dare anyone of a LS70-F sycamore top to compare it with a LS70 or similar model with a Solid Maple top to have a shootout!!
I know iv'e shot my son's Gi...on Studio out of the water, both soundwise & craftsmanship, with the Tokai, It even gives my trusty old Gibs..n LP Jr a good run. Well a Jr is a Jr, a P90 will always win in a rock n' roll tune, in my books anyway

Here's my LS70-F Cherry Sunburst
Most of you would prob have seen all theese photos before but as a starter to the thread...........

Note, Tokai don't use in generally sycamore laminated tops.
In 2006, sycamore were not anymore in tokais stock, so most of all LS85F were equipped with maple laminated tops.

It's not exactly a Tokai and it's rather pricey (it's handmade though), but THIS beaut has some beautiful Sycamore:
