I have had this '03 ES100 for a year and a half now and the Pup covers are getting progressivly gungy! It wasnt that bad to start with. It wont just wipe off either.Is this common and, what is the best way to deal with it?

Looks like you still have the sticky film on the pickup covers!
If not, get out the duraglit.
On no account get wire wool anywhere near the pickups...

Yes, Duraglit or Brasso wadding will shift it, without scratching the surface 
Well it was time to change the pickups so I had the pickups out whilst I was at it. Definately no sticky film ect. Looks like Ill either have to buy some Duraglit..or mug a trumpet player, which ever is easiest Ta!
