C'mon guys I'm gettin bored with all this talk about love rock/les paul tokais...lets hear it for the strats...

Some burning strat related questions for ya..

1) Does anyone know how many different colour finishes there have been on the strats....(and did they ever use mint green?)

2) How can you tell the difference between an original headstock logo and the ebay transfers?

3) Does anyone know what the code on the butt of the neck and in the electronics recess means e.g 10=11......

4) Why were the 80's strats sooo good??? where built?? any gossip/rumours?

5) what's the difference between ST40, ST50 etc

6) Why do these things bother me so much

cheers

Strats are my first love...

I'm not toally up on Tokais since I make my own...*ahem*- I mean assemble my own, and have for 6 or 7 years now.

Well Strats are what I really love, my main guitars.

I have played few Japanese Tokai Strats and they have never let me down, great copys. And I own one Tokai AST33 which is heavily modified with new finish, pickups and it has Fender American Vintage '62 Strat neck.

If you're looking at strat copies, then I would seriously suggest taking a look at the Levinson Blade guitars.
