TOKAI Cat's Eyes TCD285 ???

Hi all of you Tokai fans,

Is there anyone that has info reagrding Tokai acoustic Cat's eyes model TCD285 ??

Hiya

These models were made for a guitar wholesaler in the USA they are copies of Martin D28's

I've never heard of TCD285 they usually are TCD286 or TCD2812

TC= Tokai Cat's Eyes
D28 = Model copies
6 = 6 string version
12 = 12 sting version

Do you know to which model you can compare them to i.e. CEV series or CE series for example ?

They are low end models

There were some high end models in last catalog but allwere CE models(ie: TCE285),could these be what you're talking about?

What would this be?

(he has a few of them in other auctions for differnt prices too, all seem to be the same pics & description though).

Looks pretty nice with "plant pot" the headstock inlay.
I've previously only seen this on models CE1000 and up.

What do you think, high or low-end model?
Is it worth the asking price?

These are the TCD286 and TCD285 that I am talking about. I exchanged e-mail with the auctioner. So from what I understand now there low end guitars. So I do not know if it is a good deal.
