NLP plays great... except the b string. When you bend it really sounds harsh, almost like its rubbing on something. Could this be the string sliding on the wrap around bridge - since there are no realy saddles to hold the string in place.

B string is the only one that does this.

Could this be a high fret causing the problem?

Ned - I took the journeymans classes in fretting & setups at Galloup Guitar School - I think it is unlikely to be the bridge. A high fret would cause a buzz, possibly the frets on your guitar may not have been polished properly - a rough fret could cause some scraping. You could mask between the frets, and polish them with steel wool. Be careful though, as steel wool does not want to get near pickups etc. Alternatively have a tech check it out.

I'll probably take it to Mark Erlewine on Wednesday to have him check it out. It's gotta be a uneven fret.
