Which gauge do you use on your 12-string? I've got the same guitar but I'm not sure if the neck could stand the pressure of thicker strings. So what do you think? Or do you tune your guitar differently?
The set I ordered were basically .010 to .046 which is essentially the same gauge as I use for my six string guitars. They are very smooth, a little expensive ($28 plus shipping). I'm surprised that you might be thinking about even heavier strings for your RG, they seem about as heavy as I could handle !! Isn't it a great guitar by the way?
Yeah it's indeed a great guitar; wonderful sound and feel.
And no I don't want to put heavier strings on than the .010.
I had .009 on it and wanted to put .010 on, but I was afraid that the neck couldn't stand that pressure when I tune it in the normal way.
So I will surely test the pyramids .010.
