Can someone update us on the new/current Tokai Junior and Special models available and what is the highest end model you can get?

I'm seeing some listings for Tokai TJ122 models which look great, though they have a 2 piece body and from pics don't look as well built as a TJ83. There are $10k guitars with 2 piece bodies so it's not a deal breaker, but I'm looking for the best model they make that is Made in Japan.

I've been looking for the right TJ83 (has 1 piece body) so I could inquire about neck thickness. I've realized need a thick neck .90 at 1st fret and 1" at 12th fret, which many clones of '59 and earlier LP/Special/Jr guitars have.

For reference, here's an old listing for a TJ83, which looks to be better made than the TJ122 above.

SPECIALS
This special looks great and is MIJ but since it's a 1960, I'm guessing is a thin neck.

Tj83 one piece body is the sellers opinion. Tokai joints are so good sometimes it's hard to tell and unless the models are many years apart. They wouldn't put a one piece on a lower spec body of the same era unless it was a much cheaper choice of wood?
Just a few thoughts

I've seen some that were definitely one piece due to the way grain was, but not sure about all of them. I do believe the TJ83 was spec'd as one piece though

Thanks for that, I looked into these TJ122 models and at least one that was for sale has a thick neck - 1st fret 22.7mm 12th fret 24.5mm (.893" and .964")

Thanks, definitely proves the TJ83 can be 2 piece and the TJ78 is specd as 2 piece back from factory.

Not sure where you're located but I have a custom hand built Junior from Revelator Guitars like this one:

Large 58/59 neck profile with arthritis developing in my thumb joint of my left hand makes it painful for me to play. Picture of me playing it with Muddy Waters' son Big Bill Morganfield: https://www.facebook.com/photo?fbid=1792900247419521&set=t.672059290

Here's Revelators website - one of the best builders in the USA in my opinion .https://revelatorguitars.com/ He does Fender models almost exclusively but he's done a few Juniors - stunning guitar.

If you're interested (or any of the rest of you), PM me .....
