Hi guys! Recently i got a tokai "breezysound" with a serial no 110943 "made in japan". I made some research and found a similar looking guitar in tokai australia for model ATE-118 (vintage series) vintage natural/maple fretboard. Any idea what year model this guitar was made?
Appreciate all the help and info!

8) yours is probably a 2011 ATE-82(currently ATE-118 and the japan list price is 118000 yen) ATE-118 has the poly finish & steel saddles instead of the lacquer finish & brass saddles of the higher model that was also in the vintage series until several years ago.

Forgive my ignorance. :( Is the ATE118 a replacement for ATE82? Is the ATE82 can be considered a vintage series and of top quality also? I saw a picture of the ATE118 having a steel saddles same as mine, i just dont know what finished my tokai have if its poly or lacquer thats why im confused. please let me know also the specs of the ATE82. And what does the "82" means on the ATE? Another interesting model that i saw on youtube was the ATE108 that looks similar to my guitar. Now im more confused.
I got this guitar for the price of usd554.51 after conversion without shipping cost from a local guitarist. Do you think its a fair price? Sorry for a lot of questions. I just dont know anything about this guitar. Thanks again!

8) ATE82 & ATE118 are the same guitar just that tokai has been adding more prices in the recent years. ATE82 was 82000 yen the japan list price then and ATE118 is 118000 yen the japan list price today. both ATE82 & ATE118 have the poly finish and steel saddles. there was a higher model until several years ago which had the lacquer finish & brass saddles. ATE generally means AMERICAN-TELECASTER or something like that but its not officially clearly explained so by tokai yet. usually the tokai model# means their japan list price so ATE82 was 82000 yen the list in japan back then. your price was probably fair today in usa.

Wow thanks a lot for that info! :) I wonder how we can do without you guys helping us.
Hoping someone who have the knowledge like u you can do a youtube video about reviews for different model of tokai (guitar and bass/older and newer model) that we can watch and learn from it. For sure a lot of tokai owners around the world will be interested in watching it.
I have another tokai guitar from 1981 LS60 i think..not really that high end but its been with me for around 25 years already. If someone will make a review of it, im willing to share this pic. Thanks again!
