First off, holy **** this guitar is amazing. It plays so well and sounds so effin' good I couldn't leave the store without it.

Now the salesman told me it's definitely a Japanese made one, and that the value is about $2500 to $3000 AUD which is about $1700-$2000 USD, BUT this particular guitar has had it's head snapped off at one time in it's history and it's been reattached so I got it for $1000 AUD or about $680 USD . Whoever re-attached it seems to have done a good job as it just plays so **** well and sustains for days. Even if I paid too much I don't really care because this guitar held it's own against $2500 and $4000 Les Paul's that I played too today.

Anyway, so it's serial number is 0308007 and it's engraved not printed and the trus rod cover has 2 screws. Can anyone tell me specifically what model this is? What pups are in it? They sound amazing! Is it definitely a Japanese made guitar or no? Here's some pics

Yours is def MIJ. 2003 is a funny year because it falls between the 2000 catalog and the 2006 catalog. In 2000 your model was the LS75Q and in 2006 because of inflation it rose to become the LS90Q.

Guitar came with MK2 pups originally. A kinda PAF/vintage styled pickup as so far as they are described by Tokai. The makers of these pups changed over the years though.

Here's a catalog link
