I bought this guitar a couple months back for 20 dollars US at a pawn shop, I knew nothing about Tokais or that they had a following, just liked the guitar and obviously it was worth 20 dollars.
When I went to look into it I found out that they are very well made and have a big community behind them and was shocked!
Anyways, I have been searching for awhile and can’t find anything online about my specific model, I’ve found a few similar ones but not the exact one with the maple neck and skunk stripe down the back of the neck. I’ve looked through google, eBay, reverb, as well as all of the tokai catalogues and found nothing.
The bridge says made in Japan on the back
The headstock reads “tokai electric guitar original series, the quality musical instruments of the world”
And the serial number is 3031353.
Could you guys help me date and identify this guitar?
