Tokai guitar identification

Hi everyone,

I have got this guitar from someone who left Australia a few years ago (so I am not able to contact them).
I was wondering if this guitar is genuine Tokai and the approximate price it could be sold for.

Looks genuine enough to me.
The fingerboard looks like a round laminate one, not slab, so that would put it from the early 80s.
Price? I wouldn't pay more than £400 for it, but I'm a cheapskate.

Is that strange that there is no serial number though? Or are serial numbers only applicable to some limited-series models?
