Hi, just wondering if anyone can help me tell if this guitar is a real Tokai?

The pics are pretty crap but hoping there may be some giveaways?

Cheers.

My guess is a low end korean model like the ALS37:

Think you are on the money with it being an ALS37. It looks very similar to this https://reverb.com/ca/item/18843348-tokai-als37s-lp-type-2000-s-electric-guitar
Having no serial number and the circular style tuning pegs.

Are these low end ones no good? I'm just after a cheap ax but don't want to buy crap. The auction in my first link is in New Zealand $ so it's pretty cheap.

Bolt on neck, dot inlays, this is as low-end as it goes and from the look of the rust, dust and damage this is a guitar that has not been looked after.

As said above, the case is worth more than the guitar. You must be able to find something better than that.

I'm pretty sure I can too. Actually heading to Japan (Osaka) for work in a couple of weeks and I'm thinking of trying to find something second hand while I'm there.
