Hiya,

i want to adjust the truss rod of my Tokai Springy Sound. I removed the neck from the body to get access to the truss rod screw. In my opinion the neck is a little bit "loose" , like a banana. I want to correct this. But if i try to tighten the screw (clockwise rotate) it feels like it is already very tight and not able to turn further. I don´t want to destroy something. I heard that some Tokais have a "reversed" Screw- is this true? - Have i to rotate counter-clock or have i to use more force?

Who is experienced?

Regards, Dan

A reversed screw? Where? In Great Britain certainly!
Just remove the screw, add one or two washers, put the screw back and tighten it 1/4 turn

Thanks a lot dombat & Emiel for your answers!!!

@ Emiel, i tried this, and even removed completely the screw, the neck is still a little bit banana, maybe a little bit better, but it is seems not able to get it 100% straight or further to correct the force from the strings...

@ dombat, is this method risky? have you done this by yourself before?

regards, dan
