Hi

Can anyone offer me some information on the Love Rock LS-150? I'm not familiar with the model but I'm looking at one at

http://www.guitargai.com/html_folder/gai_otherCA3.html#

Was the 150 a handmade instrument similar to the LS-220 and 320 models? What materials were used (solid maple cap?), pups, dates of manufacture, etc. The seller has a great rep and deals in quality stuff.

Any information the forum may have regarding this model is appreciated.

Thanks
CM

This particular cherry sunburst is a little harsh for my taste. If it was more of a violin finish I'd be tempted to get in there are try to cut a deal. Either that or rob a bank.

I'm with Barry on the flametop, though...just the way I like it.

Was the 150 a production model or a custom build?

It was called a "super edition model" and had a one-pice mahogany back and also a one-piece neck. The flame maple top is solid! The pickups were DiMarzio's (PAF and Super D).

It's a shame but that top just isn't quite right. It looks like a flat sawn piece of maple but it's a little too grainy just behind the bass side of the tailpiece and that would drive me mad.

I agree that the flame is quite a subtle tiger/pinstripe though.

Am I too fussy?

Urgh, I'm going to go against the trend here and say I really don't like that top. Too red, and the flame looks really inconsistent and cheap.

I like my flame fine, straight, defined and dense. :p Classy, but dignified - not OTT frilly like you get on many custom-shop Gibbos.

A little variation here and there is ok too.
