Just bought another Tokai for 250?.
Is it VS80?

I have a very similar one, which has an 80 sticker on it.

Behind the volume and tone pots, is that a switch? (Presumably for the built in overdrive unit.) Does it have a coil splitter on the volume pot?

Differences with mine are:
Mine has silver pickup covers;
Instead of the switch, it has a pot;
The pickup selecter is yellow.

No stickers on my neck anymore.
Switch behind the tonepot is more like a booster than ovedrive.
I think there are also 70 on VS-series. Not so much info for VS-series on the web!
