If you didn't catch the news on the main site Tokai has announced 2 new models the Love Rock II and the Tsunami. Check the Tokai news on the main site for pics.

Basically the LR II is a double cut-away and the Tsunami has a Ric flair to it.

I just love the Love Rock II! It's available here in Sweden at $1400, a bit too much for me I'm afraid. Hmm... what can I sell to get one? Ned, have you seen the guitar in reality? Anything more you can tell me about it?

All I know is what you see, I'll ask Tokai to send some information on the specifics.

Just when I thought I had got my final Tokai, the Love Rock 2 comes along. Time to start saving and thinking of the excuses for the Mrs. ("but darling, the other Tokai's were lonely")
 
Love Rock II eh? Anyone remember the Yamaha MSG (think it was called Yamaha Image in the US) from a few years back? Looks pretty similar to me - sort of small ES335 meets Les Paul. Some of the MSGs had active electronics (along with groovy LEDs) and even locking trems, but the basic design is the same. They were good guitars, although never that popular, I guess because it was the age of the super-strat. Anyway, its a cool shape and I hope they bring them to the UK.

I've mentioned them in my review of the Love Rock II, see the Announcements section. I think it was somewhere on the English version of the Tokai Gakki homepage...

I'm also innterested in the spec's for the Tsunami. The japanese web site link doesn't state:-

Where are they made
What pickups are intealled
What wood they are made from
etc etc
