hey
i got it at music shop new for 600 new and case...
is that ok?

Yep, done good.

RRP is $649, and the case is a bonus, all for $600 8)

They are good guitars, especially for the price. Enjoy.

yeh well i had a choice between this and the epiphone custom $1300
and i like the sound that came out of this
so im happy with it and its real haha
woo for me lol 8)

Yep,

You made a good choice there.

With the money you saved, what a lot of people that are buying the ALS43, ALC49 and SG38's are doing is fitting some REALLY nice pickups from

http://www.brierleyguitarpickups.com.au/

I know not everyone wants to upgrade straight away, but Micks' pickups are reasonably priced, and make an absolutey fantastic difference to the sound of these models. One of the dealers keep one in stock, with the different pickups, and yes, they sell a lot of upgraded guitars, for a lot less than the "other" brand.

What do you play?

hey yeh i want to upgrade eventually...
when im famous hahaha
i kinda like the fullness when playing around
with the destortion with my hiwatt amp i use...
and in what do you play in do you mean music?
i like classical old stuff like jimmy page and lots of black sabbath
and even rage...
hahah
but do you rekon i should upgrade?

MANY of us here have upgraded the pickups in our guitars.
My 1985 LS80 has a set of EMG-HZ pickups in it.
They're a passive pickup and sound like a PAF rather than a massively high gain EMG Active set...too metal for me these days.

No, no "need" to upgrade, just thought i would pass on a helpful tip, for when, or if you feel the need.

You can get a good Pagey tone out of them. In fact, I know a bloke that would have played a version of The Rover, just to check the intonation in chords from the Fsharp barre chord at the 10th fret back up to the open E on that very guitar, she's a beauty.

As I said before, enjoy.

haha how do you no???
haha
well i like the sound it gives now...
i might just get a good pedal...
any ideas...
oh like should i go multi or anologue single ones?
if i was to go multi i have the gt6 boss in mind???

I've been playing for many years and just got myself back in a band after a ten year lay-off so thought I'd better buy a few pedals. Ilooked at what was newest and tried the Boss GT-10, this thing can create 1,000,000 sounds, some of which are like nothing you've heared come out a guitar before....and..... all of them are absolute rubbish!!

Grab a few decent analogue pedals and your guitar will sound like a guitar :D

some of sabbath stuff is so amazing i think
how can some one play lije this?
and also half of it is so simple
haha
yeh im thinking on settaling for a phase shifter destortion and a new delay ahaha
wooo
thanks for all the help
its all real hepful

My advice to anyone who's about to start a pedal collection is as follows:

Buy a decent multi-fx unit secondhand. Use it for a while, get an idea of what the different fx types sound like, get an idea of which ones you like and what you will realistically use.

Once you're happy you know what you want, sell the multi (because you bought s/h you won't lose anything) and buy some single pedals.

i just bought a korg ax1500g
its ok was on sale
its not the best but as you say yourself,
itll help my ear in which i like and what not...
thanks heaps.
