The SG175 on the left in the photo is not for sale because it has been sold.
The exhibit is only SG175 Buddha.

When Santana came to Japan for the Nippon Budokan performance, I happened to stop by a Yamaha musical instrument store while walking in Ginza, fell in love at first sight, and made it my main guitar.

The legendary SG175. 200 pieces produced.

SG175 Buddha that Yamaha provided to Santana. Production number 50 + 27. No. 1 to No. 3 were presented to Santana, and one of them, No. 3, was presented by Santana to Mr. Masayoshi Takanaka.

Early 80's Santana & High School Live 175 Buddha finally showed up at Yokohama Stadium.
400, 500, 600, 800, 1,000, 1,500, 2,000, 3,000 MT model, please buy according to your ability like a deviation value. Please purchase according to your budget. Please choose your favorite color.

That scene that was lined up in the store no matter where I went to the musical instrument store across the country. For the 12th consecutive year, pay raises for Yamaha employees exceeded 10% year-on-year. It was an amazing time.

Mr. Masayoshi Takanaka's SG series, Mr. Tsuyoshi Nagabuchi's APX series Yamaha's sales strategy is truly in step with the times.

In particular, when the sales volume of the MT model gradually declined, it was put out as a featured product, and with Mr. Takanaka's permission, several types were sold in stages to cover the decline in sales volume with a high price but within the reach of the hand. was done

It is a strategic product. Naturally, we succeeded in giving merits to Mr. Takanaka and giving advantage rebates to dealers as well. As a result, the pay raises for Yamaha employees did not fall. As a result, even now, there is no end to things on the used market. Looking at it now, it looks like a toy design is the passage of time. By the time Mr. Takanaka's music began to show signs of slowing down, the SG series sales promotion was over.
And from bubble period to collapse.

Even in this era when the Heisei period ends, it flows into the second-hand market and flows again. Old-fashioned overflows that are always available if you want them. flows. Exactly the drifting thing of that era.

Only 175 should call itself a real SG. Employees who have sought to pursue profits are now leaving the company. Mr. Terry Nakamoto became independent by releasing genuine masterpieces instead of pursuing profits. It is very difficult because of the difference in position from companies.

Originally, the masterpiece of the guitar emphasizes the quality of the wood and the grain of the wood. Colored guitars always get boring. The grain of the wood is the life of the looks. The interior of the Toyota 2000GT is amazing because it uses genuine Yamaha wood.

The 175 Buddha is designed to be much thicker than a normal SG to accommodate the Buddha inlay, so it weighs 1-1.5mm more than normal. It is exactly the weight of a king. You will be amazed at how heavy it is.

It goes without saying that true masterpieces should not be innumerable. A true masterpiece must become a legend.

How many 175's are left?
How many Buddhas are there left in the country?

The destination of serialized things is wandering. It is the fate of things that have been turned into production lines for machines for mass production.
175 Buddha, handcrafted by artisans in limited small batches. Undisclosed sales only at specified dealers, mainly in the Tokyo metropolitan area. Thus a legend was born.

Is it because it is not in the domestic market that it is not seen in the market? Is it because the owner won't let go? Is it an attachment or an heirloom? Maybe that's why it's a legend.

Love sports cars, love jeeps, love guitars, love motorcycles. Now cars away, motorcycles away, guitars away, the times have changed.

An idol who dances in large numbers in a game. Decrease in music level. The scenery is the same whether you look to the right or to the left.

Because it's an era like this. I want to pursue only the real thing. I want to have only the real thing that will never go out of fashion.

Some excerpts from the magazine mentioned above are quoted.

Ummm... is that 9,500,000 JPY (~$68,000) or is my view just getting blurry? Looks like it has the "Anniversary" inlay on the 24th fret, so it's one of the 77 1996 reissues (and not one of Carlos' kidneys! :)) Yikes!

Edit: That looks like 2 simultaneous auctions for the same guitar or is he having 2 of them?
