Hi,

Can somebody please tell me some facts about the current ES-335 style guitars? I am interested especially in the japanese top of the line models (it's the ES188 ... right?). What kind of neck profile do they have and most of all, what do they sound like? Are they on the smooth mellow side or rather bright and aggressive? Any other things you can tell me about these?

Thanks!

They're incredible!

No need to go as high up as the ES188, the ES138 sits right up there with the best of the best.

I've heard them sound anything from smooth and mellow to downright aggressive, depending who's playing and what amp they're playing through.

The neck starts off narrow at the nut but quickly gets nice and chunky as you move up...never had any guitarist have anything bad to say about the neck shape, they love it.
