Fun Facts -
• Vivian Campbell is the guitarist for DIO, DEF LEPPARD, WHITESNAKE, SWEET SAVAGE, TRINITY, RIVERDOGS, THIN LIZZY, SHADOW KING.
• VC-75 is a short lived collaboration between Tokai and Vivian Campbell (during his Whitesnake era) and ended when Vivian Campbell left Whitesnake - very limited production.
•The VC75 was Tokai's take on the Rand Guitars VC1, made most famous by Vivian Campbell whilst in Whitesnake.
• Rand guitars - Vivian Campbell's model VC1 was designed & built by Rand Havener and the body & neck was made by Tom Anderson.

Tokai VC-75 Vivian Campbell Super Limited Rand Guitar VC75 VC55 | Reverb

Very rare 1989 Tokai VC75 Super Limited. Allegedly Vivian Campbell struck a deal with Tokai for a signature model. However just after production had started, Vivian was ousted from Whitesnake. There were only several known guitars sold in that small window of time. From what can be gathered on the internet. there was only allegedly about 16 VC-55 and VC-75 made. That number may or may not be correct, however one can assume a very small batch of these were made. And of this small batch, this has to be the best conditioned VC-75 in the world!

Based off of the original Rand guitars Vivian played in the 'Still Of The Night' and 'Is This Love', but probably closer built to his touring Rand guitar. The only unoriginal piece are the washers around the selectors that have since been replaced and the input jack. Guitar plays much like a strat when the single coil taps are selected. Think 'Sweet Home Alabama' strat tone. However when the humbucker is selected think instant 'Here I Go Again'. Plug and play and enjoy an incredible rarity! Comes in semi-hard case.

Now this is something you don't see everyday! A collaboration between guitarist Vivian Campbell and the Japanese guitar company Tokai. From my limited research this guitar was in the works from 87-88 whilst Campbell was playing in Whitesnake, he was booted from the band in 1988 before the guitar actually saw the light of day in 1989! For this reason the VC-75 (and the lower specc'd VC-55) weren't built in big numbers and they aren't many kicking about in the wild.


The guitar itself is a cool looking axe that is very similar to the Rand guitars that Campbell was known for with a few more switches for good measure!

• 3-way selector micro switch
• 2x 3-way micro switches for each pickup on/off and coil split

Our old VC is in very good condition for a guitar of this vintage. A couple of marks here and there (pictured) but nothing unsightly. Frets are in great shape. Freshly set up with Daddario 10's and ready to go!
